Once upon a time, Brazilian fashion exports were strictly flip flops and shameless bikinis. Then Gisele Bundchen led a pack of bombshells onto the catwalks of the world and suddenly fashion couldn’t get enough of their sun-drenched style. Now Brazilian designers like Carlos Miele are looking for some of that international attention and after two seasons on the catwalk in London, he has landed in Saks Fifth Avenue and the tents in Bryant Park.

Brazilian designer Carlos Miele responds to the exotic x-factor of his native land and his dazzlingly racy creations seem sculpted to the kinds of bodies only made in Brazil. But savvy to the export potential of Brazilian "cool" Miele decided to launch his tribal Spring/Summer 2002 collection in the multi-cultural metropolis of London.
