Opening with an austere colour palette of ice blues and steel grays, Italo worked the classics for his office-dwelling customer. For his more fashion forward followers, he threw in a few adventurous pieces, including shorts that were unapologetically drifting into hot pant territory and leggings for every occasion. Italo Zucchelli’s three years at Calvin Klein have been a testament to modern minimalism. Calvin Klein Mens Fall/Winter 2006 collection is no different, serving up its signature clean lines and immaculate tailoring. Zucchelli also showcased his flare for opposites, mixing smooth and rough textures and playing with volume and shape.

The two years that Italo Zucchelli has been at the helm of the Calvin Klein menswear label have been defined by gentle prodding at the minimalist image of the house, and, alternately, the occasional stab of bright colour or embellishment. The combination has mostly been successful and so this season his client is treated to a little of both.
At the end of the day though, if you can pull off the overalls with matching jacket, you’ve got style, man. You’ve got real style.

Calvin Klein Mens - Fall/Winter 2004

At Calvin Klein, menswear designer Italo Zucchelli is changing the look of this popular label one item at a time. Fall/Winter 2004 is Zucchelli’s first solo collection for Calvin Klein and the first since Calvin sold his company last year. Zucchelli’s wants to rid Calvin Klein of its minimalist label. He is doing this by introducing a few splashes of colour thanks to his use of turquoise in select pieces and by adding unique detailing to the clothes, bags and scarves.
