Burberry is 150 years old and designer Christopher Bailey is feeling that men should get dressed up to celebrate. Naming the Duke of Windsor as his inspiration, he’s dressing a new dandy in three-piece suits, ruffled shirts, and luxurious overcoats.

Burberry Mens - Fall/Winter 2005
At Burberry Prorsum, Christopher Bailey is using only fabrics from English mills this fall. The collection, predominantly centered around plaids, makes a bid for a conservative look with an offering of skinny plaid pants, grandfather checkered sweater vests and a tartan pea jacket. Score another one for Christopher Bailey and English eccentricity.

Burberry Mens - Fall/Winter 2004
In a surprisingly sober menswear season in Milan, we are eternally grateful for Christopher Bailey at Burberry. His haute bohemian injects a much-needed note of fantasy into the week. The Burberry raincoats styled as bathrobes and billowing pyjama trousers are a tribute to that playboy himself, Hugh Hefner.
