Behnaz Sarafpour - Spring/Summer 2004
Behnaz Sarafpour is the queen of trench coats. So much so that her customers keep coming back season after season looking for her latest interpretation of the fashion classic. But her collection for spring/summer 2004 had more to it than the classic trench. Behnaz charmed her audience with her contrasting use of fabrics and proportion, from black patent leather to Doris Day gingham and rib-knit tanks to strapless form hugging dresses.

Last year, during New York Fashion Week for Fall 2002, Behnaz Sarafpour was the talked-about designer – in part because of her design ability but mainly because her show, which was her first on a runway, was sponsored by Vogue magazine. This season, the Behnaz buzz continued to reverberate, attracting new sponsorship money to her company and drawing plenty of curious fashionistas to her show.
