Through all of the Fashion Week craziness, New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham was able to document a beauty paradox that rarely gets witnessed. I mean, we see the fashionistas, various fashion magazine editors and the buyers perched atop a minimum of 4-inch heel platforms at fashion week shows, but how do they survive a long fashion week day in those things? Now, this is definitely something I can speak to, since as you may know I happen to be a fervent high-heel sufferer-slash-aficionado. I've said it before and I'll say it again; all drool-worthy shoes hurt -plain and simple. And for me to go a day in any of my pet shoes, I must, and always bring an extra pair of very comfortable ugly ones. A girl must always remember... beauty is pain! Check out the feature here
